Perfect World is an urban fantasy roleplay set in present-day Tokyo, inspired by Yuu Watase's Fushigi Yuugi (the Mysterious Play), with additional inspiration from themes found in the Dresden Files, Darker Than Black, Witch Hunter Robin, and other such media. The walls between the worlds have thinned, making magic and demons commonplace; people must deal with the mundane and the supernatural with equal seriousness and aplomb.

No New Posts Minato Ward

Minato-ku (港区) is an extremely well-to-do area of metropolitan Tokyo, hosting 49 embassies and several major international corporations like Fujitsu, Sony, and Mitsubishi. In Minato you can find Azabu, an upscale residential area that many ambassadors and other extremely wealthy citizens call home, Roppongi, Tokyo's most well-known nightlife district, Odaiba, the entertainment center built on an artificial island in Tokyo Bay, the National Art Center, Tokyo Tower, and the ancient and famous Zojiji Temple.

No New Posts Chiyoda Ward

Chiyoda-ku (千代田区) is the least populated of the Tokyo wards, because more than ten percent is occupied by the Imperial Palace and its grounds. The seat of government is located here, including the National Diet, the Prime Minister's residence, and the Supreme Court. Other than a handful of embassy buildings and residences, Chiyoda is also home to the famous Akihabara electronics district, the Budokan, and Hibiya Park. A great deal of commerce is centralized here, and several of the great zaibatsu and national banks have their headquarters in Chiyoda high-rises.

No New Posts Shibuya Ward

Shibuya-ku (渋谷区) is one of the fashion centers of Japan and a major nightlife area, particularly for young people. Shibuya 109 is a major shopping center, and ganguro and kogal subcultures got their start there. In Shibuya you will find Harajuku, where young people in various subcultures conglomerate and socialize, Ebisu, home to vintage shops and trendy boutiques, the center of the Tokyo IT business, game and karaoke parlors galore, and one of the busiest railway stations in Tokyo; almost everyone passes through Shibuya at one time or another.

No New Posts Chuo Ward

Chuo-ku (中央区) is the central ward, and historically the main commercial center of Tokyo. Its most famous district is Ginza, the high-profile, luxuriously upscale shopping district, and home to flagship stores for Western brands like Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Gucci -- as well as the world-famous Tsukiji fish market. It is physically the second-smallest of all Tokyo city districts, and includes Tsukishima, an island in Tokyo Bay dominated by high-rise condominiums.

No New Posts Greater Tokyo Metropolitan Area

Tokyo-to (東京都) is the the world's most populous metropolitan area and the second largest urban-function landmass int he world. It also has the world's largest metropolitan economy and strongest purchasing power parity. Because of its size and scale, it is not administered as a single city, and is circumnavigated by the heavily-travelled Route 16 at approximately a forty kilometer radius. The eastern border is the Tokyo Bay coastline, and the sourthern section is the highly urbanized Keihin Industrial Area. Outside the highway loop are rural and suburban areas.

No New Posts The World at Large

It is present day: cheap -- or at least marginally affordable -- travel exists from almost any part of the world to almost any other part. While the main in-character focus is Tokyo Japan, characters may come from or explore anywhere else in the world.
