Chiyoda-ku (千代田区) is the least populated of the Tokyo wards, because more than ten percent is occupied by the Imperial Palace and its grounds. The seat of government is located here, including the National Diet, the Prime Minister's residence, and the Supreme Court. Other than a handful of embassy buildings and residences, Chiyoda is also home to the famous Akihabara electronics district, the Budokan, and Hibiya Park. A great deal of commerce is centralized here, and several of the great zaibatsu and national banks have their headquarters in Chiyoda high-rises.
